Rolling V Ranch WCID 2 Moves to Stage 3

July 25, 2025

Due to emergency drought conditions and in alignment with our direct water supplier, the City of Rhome, and their wholesale provider, Walnut Creek Special Utility District, Rolling V Ranch WCID No. 2 has implemented Stage 3 Drought Restrictions effective immediately on July 25, 2025.

This action follows a critical situation within Walnut Creek SUD’s water system, where excessive outdoor irrigation has overwhelmed system capacity, causing pumps and storage tanks to fall behind. Water is now being depleted faster than it can be replenished, threatening the ability to maintain basic service levels.

PROHIBITED – EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:

  • All outdoor irrigation
  • No home vehicle washing
  • No filling, refilling, or topping off pools, hot tubs, or ornamental ponds
  • No recreational water use that results in runoff or waste
  • No washing of driveways, sidewalks, buildings, or paved areas
  • No watering of nursery plant stock
  • Non-essential internal water use by the District is suspended

ADDITIONAL MEASURES:

  • A rate surcharge on excessive water use may be implemented.
  • The District will increase enforcement activities; repeat violations may result in service disconnection and fines.

We appreciate your continued cooperation. Conditions are being monitored and restrictions may change. Updates will be provided through official District channels.

Thank you for helping protect our water supply.
